Nina
Nina was launched in 1953 when brothers Mike and Stanley Silverstein were inspired by a wood bottom sandal while walking down a New York street. An idea was born to update the traditional wooden clog, making it worthy of high fashion status. Their updated style became a quick success and today the company is one of the most widely respected, independent shoe designers in the world.
Since the inception of the fashion clog, the brothers have expanded to introduce a full line of great footwear. They company makes everything from pumps and cute slides, to bridal shoes and strappy sandals. It has also partnered with the Miss Universe organization, so each contestant wears Nina during the opening numbers and swimsuit competition.
Women who don the line tend to be edgy and confident. With sophisticated and sexy styles at affordable prices, Nina shoes are often featured in fashion magazine “splurge vs. steal” sections. Its products are young, hot, trendy, and consistently priced under $100.
