Shipping & Handling

We ship all packages via UPS. All orders shipped to continental U.S. addresses are shipped for a flat rate of $5. Expedited and international orders will be processed at standard carrier rates. Please allow approximately 1-2 business days for your order to process.  Your merchandise will arrive to you in 4-10 business days, depending on location.

All orders over $200 require a signature on delivery as well as other orders at the UPS driver's discretion if the driver feels a delivery location is unsafe.

Please note that there will be extra delivery fees for orders that must be reshipped, intercepted, or have address updates if the order has already been shipped to its original shipping destination. Customers will be notified, of the cost of the fees before they are charged.

Merchandise ordered after 10:00 a.m. on Monday-Thursday will ship the following business day.  Orders placed Friday-Sunday will ship Monday.  No Saturday deliveries.

P.O. Boxes

Unfortunately, Lori's is not able to ship orders to P.O. Boxes.  When checking out, please provide a resident or business address so we can be sure your package arrives safely on time.

International Orders

Orders that are to be shipped to destinations outside of the United States will not reflect shipping charges during the checkout process. For your convenience, we will calculate the shipping charges and send you a shipping quote before processing your order. Once we receive your approval for the shipping amount, we will then charge your card and ship your order.

Orders shipped internationally are passed to the local postal carrier in the country of destination. Customers are subject to local duties and taxes, which are assessed once the package arrives in your country. We cannot estimate any of these additional charges.

Please note that packages can often be delayed while clearing customs. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

In-Store Pickup 


In-store pickup is available at the Lori's Armitage location only. Shoppers will receive email notification when order is ready for pick up. Items ordered as an in-store pick up, may be returned to any Lori's Shoes location for store credit or exchange only. 

 

Returns & Exchanges

RETURNS
These policies cover online sales only.


Unworn merchandise may be refunded in the original method of payment, subject to the following:

  • Final sale items are not returnable or exchangeable. These items are marked "final sale" and/or are marked down 50% or more;
  • Returns must be postmarked within 14 days of receipt for a full refund;
  • After 14 days returns will automatically be issued a merchandise credit for the current selling price;
  • Returns made after 30 days will not be accepted;
  • Hosiery and socks may be returned only if they are unworn.
IN-STORE RETURNS
  • Items may be returned to any of the Lincoln Park, Northfield, or Highland Park store locations for store credit only.
  • In-store returns must be made within 14 days of receipt.
Footwear returns must be sent in a proper shipping box with the original shoebox inside.  Do not tape or attach the label to the shoebox.  Returns received without the original shoebox are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

EXCHANGES
We are glad to exchange unworn items, depending on availability

  • Please ship the original order back to Lori's per the instructions on the return sheet. 
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping charges only. Lori's will pay to ship the new item (domestic customers only).  International exchanges will be handled on a case by case basis.
  • Please do not send cash or checks to pay for the difference of an exchange. We do not except personal checks.
  • Footwear exchanges must be sent in a proper shipping box with the original shoebox inside. Do not tape or attach label to shoebox.

INTERNATIONAL Returns & Exchanges:

  • All international returns are to be returned to Lori’s Shoes within 14 days upon receipt of the order.
  • The shipping charges for international returns and exchanges are to be paid by the customer.
  • All duties, taxes, or fees required to be paid for returned items, outside of the United States are the sole responsibility of the customer.
  • All sale items are a final sale.

ORDER or CREDIT CARD ISSUES
We can only hold product for 24 hours.
  • If there is a problem with your order we will email you for further information or verification. If you do not respond within 24 hours of that email, we can not hold that product for you.
    

Sales Tax

Lori's charges 10.25% sales tax on orders shipped to destinations within Illinois.
 

 

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates can not be purchased using discount codes. Shoppers wishing to apply Gift Certificates to an order must include the certificate number in the gift message area at check out. The balance of the card will be applied before credit card is charged.

Our Privacy Statement

We neither sell nor share your information with outside companies or third parties.

When you purchase from our online store, we collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. You provide this information so we can process and ship your order. We respect your privacy by not selling or sharing this information.

We encourage you to sign-up for our e-mailing list. These letters provide you with advanced notice of store sales, new merchandise, and other store-related events. But, of course, you have the freedom to add or remove your name from our list at any time.

Online Security

Your credit card is completely safe.

Protecting your information is our highest priority. We have developed several safeguards to keep your information completely confidential. To proceed to checkout, you must enter your e-mail address and create a password. The checkout process itself employs Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)* technology to insure your safety.

*Secure Sockets Layer encrypts your order information and sends it to a secure server, making it impossible for that information to be decoded by a party outside of the store you shop with.

Furthermore, only our store will have your information; other members of the Modern Retail community will not have access to your information unless you decide to shop with them.

To check the security of your connection during checkout, look for the unbroken key or closed lock at the bottom of your browser window. This indicates SSL is active.

Shopping Online

To add an item to your bag, simply click the add to bag button next to it. (Items you put in your bag will not be bought by you until you have completed the checkout process.)

To remove an item from your bag, simply click the remove link next to the item you wish to discard.

To view what is in your bag at any time, click the "shoppingBag" link in the page header.

To purchase what you've selected, click on your shoppingBag and click "checkout". Follow the three simple steps to purchase your items.

Once we have confirmed your order, an account for you is automatically established for the Modern Retail community of stores.

To access your account in the future, click the "myAccount" button in the header of any page and enter the e-mail address and password you created at checkout.  (If you have not been through checkout, but would like to create an account, simply click on my account and follow the steps to create a new account.)
