FALL TREND EDIT: 2020
The end of summer, for me, is a really exciting time of the year. Although, I will definitely miss the 80 degree temperatures during the day and the beautiful warm evenings in Chicago, I’m ready for the change of season. While soaking up the final days of warm sunshine in Chicago, I look ahead to those 60 degree days when I can pull out a favorite cozy sweater and a pair of boots. I love the change of season and I particularly love fall and what it means for fashion.
It’s finally time to retire your sun dress, shorts and flip-flops and think about your new fall wardrobe. Even though we may not be returning to the office, going out for dinner or to the theater, the fall trends are arriving at Lori’s to help wash away the quarantine blues. We still want that great new sweater or those great new pair of combat boots, right? Life still requires getting dressed and putting on something fabulous. It just makes us feel better.
This Fall season the trends are easy to wear. During Covid lockdown and even now, I want to be more comfortable than ever. I want pieces that are extremely wearable. I guess that is a reflection of the current climate we are living in and the year we’ve all had. We’ve now accepted elevated loungewear, incorporated oversized sweatshirts, and pseudo office wear that still looks presentable on our zoom calls.
I’ve highlighted a few trends this season that you’ll find me living in. Again, they are all comfortable and easy to wear. You won’t see me in any pumps this season, that’s for sure. But, you will find me in oxfords, loafers, combat boots, and low heeled, super comfy chelsea boots. This Fall season we’ve also committed to a great selection of clothing. Comfy sweaters, trench coats, joggers, sweatshirts, just to name a few.
