I'm here to tell you what I think are the must-haves for your shoe closet this season. With these essential styles, you'll be able to get the most value out of your shoe collection and love what's on your feet all summer long.
XO, Lori
The Casey from Vagabond is the gift that keeps on giving. A Lori's cult classic, they are loved by all our customers and staff, so naturally it's made our list of essentials for the spring and summer months. Having a comfortable and stylish sneaker is important all year round, but I feel like I must have this playful pink shade for a little pop (and because I already have them in black). Check out Casey in lavender, light blue and light gold too -- which is your favorite?
The
L'idea suede mule can take you from spring to fall, and for that alone, it's on our list of must-haves. An easy slip-on with a stylish bit that instantly makes my outfit feel more finished. This ultra-neutral cream suede never goes out of style and can work with whatever I have on, whether it be for a day at the store or anything else. Also available in classic
black leather, or if you're looking for more color take a look at the
mint.
Birkenstocks need no words, but I will share a few.
Birks are another classic for us, and after wearing mine for several seasons, I think it's time to refresh with a new metallic color. Seen here is the
Arizona-MET in pale blue. Put 'em on and go do what you gotta do without worrying about coordination or lasting comfort.
The most highly anticipated summer activity for me is hanging beachside with my friends and family at the lake, and a pool slide is alI I need for just that. The
Edge from JSlides is a great no-fuss option paired with summer loungewear or a swimsuit and cover-up. Right now we're loving them with Chaser's cozy
pullover hoodie and lightweight
sweats for cooler temps by the water.
Nothing says summer to me like a pair of espadrilles. This basic jute wedge can take me from day to night in jeans or a dress and it isn't too high. Red has become our new neutral at the store, and it's an easy way to make a statement without going over the top Seen here are the
Kauai from Pelle Moda.
A straight forward flat sandal,
Alanis from Miz Mooz is one of our most popular, and it's for good reason. I love to wear these when I need a style that's a step up from my pool slides or birkenstocks, but I don't want to put on a shoe that will make me feel overdressed. I can also stroll in them for miles.
Last, but certainly not least, the
Per Mule from Intentionally Blank is my selection for sunsets and cocktails. I want to feel easy and breezy in my summer wardrobe, so I prefer a style like a mule with a chunkier heel to a high stiletto. Bonus is I don't need to have a fresh pedicure, and they're wearable in spring and fall too.
